Everything That Is In My Closet Is On Poupee

[UPDATE – AS OF SEPTEMBER 2013 POUPEE GIRL IS CLOSED TO NEW REGISTRATIONS.  I AM NOW LOOKING FOR A NEW CLOSET SHARING WEBSITE, LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS!]
Sometimes people ask me if I still have something in my collection (and try to get me to sell it to them).  I never really understand why people ask me this, because I figured most people would know about Poupee Girl by now, a website I use almost religiously to maintain an online record of the current contents of my collection.  I keep a widget on my blog to the right at the top, so anyone can click and look at it at anytime.
If you don’t know about it, Poupee Girl is part social media, part image gallery, part free to play flash avatar doll dress up game.  When you make an account, you get to customize your own avatar doll, and then you take pictures of your closet items and post them to your ‘closet’.  When you successfully upload an item, you get ribbons, which is the currency used on the site to buy digital clothes for your avatar.  You are able to network with friends, and when you upload your clothing items you are able to categorize them under brand names, which puts your clothes into a giant gallery pool for everything under that brand name.  It’s great for searching for pictures of certain brand items, meeting other people who have similar collection interests as yourself, and keep digital records of your clothes also wouldn’t hurt in maintaining your collection for insurance purposes either I imagine.

Even though I like games, I don’t use the flash doll dress up game.  If you want to maximize your ribbons to buy clothes for your avatar, you’re only allowed to upload 5 items a day before it stops giving you ribbons.  I’m not so patient, so I tend to just upload all the photos at one time after I take them, leaving my doll somewhat underdressed in comparison to the other more hardcore members.
That being said, if you ever want to know what I do have and what I don’t have anymore, you are more than welcome to browse my poupee (so stop asking me).  If you’re new to poupee, feel free to add me.  I love seeing other peoples closets!

  1. I think your organization of your beautiful clothing is very admirable. I usually just jam all my wwestwood and other clothes into my tiny wardrobe but i would never dream of documenting it like this. Truly amazing.
